I guess you could say I came out of a cabbage… I am from the Alsace region in France famous for its sauerkraut. My grandparents were growing veggies for a living. I grew-up eating tons of vegetables; spinach, endives, green peas, kohlrabi, white asparagus, and radishes to name only a few!

Obviously my daily eating regime was of the freshest, organic & seasonal produce cooked in the simplest fashion by my mum, a fabulously efficient cook.

During this time I developed a keen appreciation for high quality ingredients. And the perfectionist in me is growing pickier with age. I simply adore eating!

When I was still only 7 years old I produced my 1st cooking show in an improvised studio in the basement I was dreaming of being a food-taster in a fine French dining restaurant.

In my teens, I intuitively knew that vegetarianism was healthier for me particularly as I was a top athlete in Track & Field.

I later learned all about organics while working in a health food store called Gsund'heit.

Traveling came next on my agenda and life took me to Canada. After globe-trotting the country hitch-hiking, then living on a fishing boat, I landed in the bush in Northern BC where I got a taste of pioneers’ life on a homestead.

The turning point happened when I found myself in a retreat centre. They needed help in their kitchen. Being from France, it was obvious that I must know how to cook… That summer I officially became a vegetarian chef! It strangely felt right. I realized how much I enjoyed "playing" in a kitchen. People’s feedback convinced me that there was a potential to explore this career path further.

My versatile & extensive
life experiences are
intricately connected
with my food.

Today, I’m concerned with food combining, nutrition, health issues, and the environmental impact of our eating habits. I’m looking at a much bigger picture and how I can actively participate in more awareness & consciousness around what goes in our body.

My food is strictly vegetarian, more vegan than I might want to admit with a growing interest in the raw food movement/diet.

As for my influences, I spent a few years in cosmopolitan Vancouver, Canada where there is no shortage of inspiration. I got the chance to work with inspiring & passionate chefs along the way, and to all of them I give great thanks! Of the different flavours Japanese, Mediterranean, Middle-eastern, Thai cuisines are definitely favorites of mine.

Today... the odyssey continues as my nomadic aspirations are taking me on the road again. I’m currently exploring Europe, learning more about food, about people, ultimately about myself. It’s an ongoing journey that I believe can only make me stronger and more attuned with my surroundings.

I just can’t wait to bring it all together in soulful recipes for you to enjoy!

Thank you for being part of the adventure…
